SYF aftermath.. It sucks.. =\

I didn't know what to expect at first. Up till that day, exactly one month since we konw Tchaikovsky, lean Tchaikovsky and play Tchaikovsky, 6th May 2009, then I understood what is a JC standard SYF. This was my 3rd and last SYF. This time is really the last SYF. Initially, I didn't think about having one last SYF. However, it still ended badly, just like SYF 07, a Bronze. But still, I have learnt many things and these two are different. And this time round it wasn't as bad as the last time round. But still, I'll feel sad for a while.

I remember at at the SYF tuning room, just before going on stage, Mr Wilson Ong told us to scream on top of our lungs. And everyone screamed, at that moment I almost want to cry. I don't know why, is like, this is it! All the past months effort! And my other friends also told me they feel the same. When I sat down at the RP hall, I felt a great sense of deja vu, which made me worried. And there took a freaking long time to announce results, we waited like nearly twenty mins I guess. And well, that's how we got the result.

Well, many friends and some teachers told MISB not to be sad, but is impossible. We're not sad just because we got Bronze, or rather is after the process of working towards SYF and getting that Bronze that made us sad. I hate it when those teachers (EXCEPT our wonder Mr Zachary Lim and Miss Huang Shi Jun) tell us don't be too sad, you've done your best. Is like they really know no shit (no offense) about what we have gone through and what we are going through. And to those wonderful friends, do encourage us by telling us not to mope around too much. And thank you to those who have shower care and concern to me. =)

Mr Lim and Miss Huang really help us through this SYF in many ways, despite they're new to band. We're learning from each other. They even had made us a banner that says "We believe in you". Brought us bananas and Kinder breuno (did I spell the name correctly? I think you know which kind chocolate I meant..) And they kept emphasising that "No matter what happens, We'll still love you guys all he same." Which was rather heart warming.

There were many things to learn and improve from now on. The only thing we can do is be there for the Year ones, and let the Year threes leave at ease. Knowing the Band can still move on. And ultimately the Year ones still have a second SYF, so must help them.

Moving on, I'm rather lost on where to start. Is like, suddenly band commitment level drop, now I'm a bit struck. And with MI's Official Opening, MIOO and PW coming along fast and furious rather overwhelming. Not to mention the tons of homework that was not done.. Sigh.. It just gets better... Way to go..

I believe, Together We Stand, Divided We Fall, be it for Band or not, this still stays true..
Mr Wilson Ong also said: "To have 50 people on stage focusing on one common goal is scary."

[Phrase of the Day: Band is the ONE word that sums up what we are, our passions, purpose and meaning to us, the group of musicians. However, there is no ONE word that can sums up the meaning of Band.]
